An oily trail, fresh from the main dealer workshop
As the freshly-serviced Renault drove out of the workshop of the main dealer opposite, it left a fresh trail of oil upon the ground as it emptied the contents of the sump. Fortunately it was chased by a couple of technicians shouting something about putting the sump plug back in! As it turned out, it was a faulty oil filter sealing ring that’d caused the engine to dump all the oil under pressure as soon as it was started.
In their quest to be good neighbours, the staff quickly covered the mess with absorbant granules.
EVERY SO OFTEN, EVEN A BRAND NEW PART CAN BE FAULTY AND CAUSE A PROBLEM. FORTUNATELY, THE HIGHLY SKILLED TECHNICIANS SPOTTED THE LEAK LONG BEFORE THE CAR WAS RETURNED TO THE CUSTOMER AND ALL WAS WELL.
